EXHIBITION OF MINIATURE ARMORED VEHICLES

One of the first projects implemented in 2019 by Т-34 Tank History Museum is the exhibition of tank models made by А. Gerasimov, 9th grade pupil from the town of Yuzha, Ivanovo Region. Using sculptural plasticine, Alexey made 21 models of armored vehicles, including those from the Soviet Union, Great Britain, Germany, US and France. The schoolboy’s original idea was to use wooden sticks in order to strengthen the barrels. Each model takes 2-3 days of hard work.
It should be noted that the war theme appeared in Alexey’s works by no mere chance. His great grandfathers defended Leningrad and Stalingrad during WWII, his grandfather is a professional artilleryman.
The exhibition was premiered in 2018 in the Yuzha School of Arts. Now the visitors of T-34 Tank History may familiarize themselves with Alexey’s models.
The exhibition is on display on the first floor of the Museum. No preliminary registration to see this exhibition is required. Entry tickets to the Museum and privileged visitor terms are valid.
The exhibition is on display until the end of March 2019.
