DEFENDING THE MOTHERLAND (1918–2018)
Such is the name of the exhibition opened in the Museum on the Defender of the Motherland Day. It is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army (WPRA). The hardest ordeal of the last century, i.e. the Great Patriotic War, fell to the lot of the WPRA.
Archival documents, photographs, staff passes, jubilee medals, emblems, insignia, postcards of various years related to the establishment of the WPRA and its anniversary are on display in the exhibition. A magazine dedicated to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Red Army in Great Britain is of special interest among other exhibits.
The exhibition is open on the ground floor of the Museum until the end of April 2018.
